SDS has the ability to convert a wide range of document formats (hardcopy, microfilm/microfiche, PDF, MS Word/Excel, SGML/HTML, InDesign, QuarkXpress, FrameMaker, ASCII, etc.) to required formats and provide publishers and information providers with end-to-end solutions – from data acquisition, data capture, imaging, DTD/schema development, and metadata creation to large-scale, tag-intensive SGML/XML conversion, content quality assurance, and data uploading. We are very flexible and can discuss any other methodologies that may be required.

Forms Processing

SDS has proven expertise in converting a wide variety of forms, such as application forms, surveys, shipping forms, banking cheques, etc. into a database or other electronic formats. The industries we serve include, but are not limited to, financial institutions, publishers, law firms, telecommunications, governments, and universities.

Our competencies include:

• Ability to process large scale forms by keying and/or verification, OCR/ICR.
• 99.5% – 99.995% accuracy can be guaranteed in real time (on-line processing) or one day turnaround time (off-line processing)
• On-line data capture: We capture information on forms by remotely accessing our clients’ systems via the Pubic Internet/VPN/Citrix.
• Off-line data capture: We download scanned forms from a designed FTP site and capture information of each field into a database such as CSV, XML, MS Excel, etc.
